She must abandon her position at the college, set out into the wild and attempt to recover her Professor and the list of artifacts he was sent to Chilkat Village to collect.
However, village life isn't easy.
She's forced to share the Hospitality cabin with a dentist who dons a cloak and role-plays with his patients. He's a bit geeky, but a tad hot, too.
Her fiance of 6 years has abandonded her for his own career and a volcano in Hawaii.
Her sister moved into her Seattle home, the day she left for Alaska.
And now, the village is either playing a huge hoax, or caught up in a real-life struggle between the spirit world and the present reality.
